New Year’s Eve Events
The Town of Ocean City will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show at Northside Park from 5:30 pm - 12:15 am. Celebrate the beginning of 2020 and the 27th Annual Winterfest of Lights. Enjoy live entertainment, warm hot-chocolate and the last opportunity to ride through the Winterfest of Lights until next season!
Don’t miss out on the party of the decade! Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Fager’s Island, dress to impress and enjoy live entertainment by Everett Spells from 7-10 pm, DJ RobCee on the deck at 9 pm, and IV Stone Band on stage at 10:30 pm. Ticket holders will be admitted after 7 pm. Tickets include a 2020 VIP card, party favors, and a midnight champagne toast.
Head to the New Year’s Eve party at Cowboy Coast with Sam Grow! Party from 8 pm - 2 am at Cowboy Coast with free premium open bar all night, a complimentary midnight champagne toast, and free mechanical bull riding! Early advance tickets are only $60/person.
Celebrate New Year’s Eve TWICE at the Taphouse Bar & Grille on 45th Street and Coastal Highway! Celebrate from 4 pm - 1 am on December 31st and January 4th with live music by Aaron Howell and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Looking to party early? Get a jump start to the New Year with celebrations at the New Year Night Party at Taphouse Tavern on December 29, 2019. Party from 9 pm - 1 am, with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight!

Stay in Ocean City and head just a few minutes out to Windmill Creek Vineyard & Winery for their Black and White New Year’s Eve Bash! Mingle, dance and indulge in great food and wine, break out your best black and white attire while bringing in the New Year with live music by Bilenki Duo, a sparling midnight toast to the New Year, and late-night blueberry pancakes send-off.
Enjoy the Town of Berlin’s New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in front of the historic Atlantic Hotel, beginning at 10 pm. Food vendors and Burley Oak Brewery will be offering refreshments throughout the night, with DJs and a light show provide entertainment. If you have little ones bring them early to countdown to the New Year before bedtime! Local children are invited to gather in downtown Berlin, MD for the Kids New Year’s Eve Ball Drop at 6 pm one of the town’s bucket trucks will drop a ball, and kids will be able to ring in the New Year by stomping on sheets of bubble wrap!

New Year’s Day Events
Join Ocean City Mayor, Rick Meehan and members of the Ocean City Council, for the 2020 Mayor’s New Year’s Day Concert event at the Performing Arts Center. This concert is FREE for the entire family and will feature a meet and greet with Ocean City elected officials and community partners. This New Year’s Day Concert will feature performances by local singer/songwriter Bryan Russo, and a special performance by Beatlegacy. The Convention Center will also be celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary!
Celebrate New Year’s Day by “getting wet for a good cause” at the Atlantic General Hospital’s 26th Annual Penguin Swim! The swim will take place at 1:00 pm off of 91st St, be sure that you check-in at the Princess Royale Hotel in the Premier Lobby to gain access to the swim area and for a chance to win fun prizes! Registration fee is $25/person, all registered swimmers will receive an official 2020 Penguin Swim t-shirt.
Join the Committee to Preserve Assateague Island at 1 pm on New Year’s Day for the First Day Hike. Wear weather-appropriate clothing and hike the beach for a one-mile round trip. Meet at the Assateague State Park concession building to participate.
