Everyone has a little Irish in them, right? As the town of Ocean City floods with green this upcoming holiday weekend, we’ll celebrate the “unofficial” start to the season. Take part in all of the excitement St. Patrick’s Day will bring to Ocean City! Enjoy live entertainment, festivities, and lots of green as visitors and locals alike toast to their Irish heritage.
The local Irish community, Delmarva Irish-American Club, sponsors the parade each year, working to make the holiday festive and enjoyable for everyone. This year marks the 40th St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in town.

Hotels throughout Ocean City are offering great deals and promotions for the holiday weekend!
Some include Monte Carlo, offering 15% off your stay and throwing in an Uber gift card to use while getting around town. Sea Bay Hotel will have a St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Special, offering a two-night stay and late checkout for only $179.
St. Patrick’s Day 5K
If you’ve never celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Ocean City, 2019 is the year to do it. Start the holiday off strong by participating in the St. Patty’s Day race along the boardwalk! Beginning at 9am on Saturday, March 16, the 5K will start directly behind Shenanigans Irish Pub.
Last year’s race brought in over 1,200 registered racers! The course will be the same as last, starting off south toward the inlet, around the pier, making a 180 degree turn back to the boardwalk heading north, up to 16th St. turning again, and finishing at 4th St.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Beginning promptly at noon on Saturday, March 16, over 100 groups and floats will parade downtown along Coastal Highway in Ocean City. The parade is the perfect time and place to deck yourself out in everything green, gold, and glittery to celebrate the festivities.
Enjoy music, great food, delicious and iconic Guinness and Smithwick's, and so much more! The parade itself is always exciting, and the St. Patrick’s Day festival to follow works to keep the Irish-spirits flowing! This year’s festival will be at the 45th St. Plaza until 3pm.
OC Handbell Festival Concert
The Handbell Musicians of America, Area III, will bring musical chimes to the Convention Center this St. Patrick's Day! Over 450 handbell ringers will play 'en masse' under the guest conductor, Michael Helman.
