Morning Boardwalk Bike Ride
While some people are under the impression that bikes are not permitted on the boardwalk during the summer season, that is not entirely true! From Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can ride your bike along the boardwalk until 11 am. Go out for a morning bike ride and try somewhere new for breakfast, or just go out for a ride to get your morning coffee. There is a whole new essance to town in the early morning that you may be missing out on.
Bonfire on the Beach
You can now apply for a permit to have your own bonfire on the beach! After a long day of swimming, tanning, or whatever outdoor activities you and your friends and family may have enjoyed, this is a unique way to sit back and relax while you watch the flames flicker in the sand. Free Surf Lessons at Endless Summer
Learn how to ride a wave, and get comfortable with your surfboard! Starting in the sand and surf for safety demonstrations, the surf instructors then take you out into the waves to put the demonstrations to use! This activity is perfect for kids!
Assateague Island
From the Inlet to the Mason Dixon Line, there are countless opportunities for a fun-filled, exciting vacation, but while visiting Ocean City, venture across the Route 50 Bridge to Assateague Island to explore unique barrier island and beachfront activities. From camping to surf fishing to driving on the beach, Assateague is a whole new area to explore.
Yoga on the Beach
Head out to 122nd St. on the beach at 8:30am to find your zen with Summer Rain Yoga! Mats are provided, and no reservations are necessary. Each drop in class is $18, and the instructors also offer private instructions, yoga for athletic teams, parties and more. Yoga on the beach is the perfect way to kick off your vacation morning while taking in the fresh ocean air.
Night Time Paddle Boarding (48th St.)
Spend Wednesday and Friday nights at 48th Street Water Sports to experience the Night time Glow Boards Tour. Get the thrill of paddling throughout the bay at night with the starry sky above you.
Sundaes in the Park
As a staple to North Ocean City, Sundaes in the Park at Northside Park often gets overlooked by vacationers. With live entertainment, ice cream, and beautiful scenery of the Assawoman Bay, the park transforms each Sunday night from 7-9 pm to a lively, energetic, family concert venue, followed by a fireworks display.
Skydiving
Skydive OC in Berlin, MD off of Airport Rd. will bring excitement and thrill as you leap into the sky above the coastline. Don’t worry about extensive training that goes into jumping solo--Skydive OC offers tandem skydiving, letting first-time jumpers be prepared to skydive in just one hour, allowing an instructor to jump with you and operate the parachute equipment.
Plane Rides
Ocean City is even more majestic from the air! Fly out of the Ocean City Airport with Ocean Aviation over West Ocean City, the Assawoman Bay, Route 90 Bridge, and get views of Fenwick Island, Bethany and Rehoboth Beaches.
