Women Supporting Women has been a blessing to many women in the Eastern Shore of MD area, including me. When I was diagnosed with 2 different kinds of breast cancer in June 2014, they provided a bag of literature for both myself and my husband. I was given pillows for the seatbelt in the car, and two arm pillows so that I could recover easily and I was able to use one of their lift chairs for three weeks to help get me up after my surgery. I've been to their support meetings and they are awesome in helping ladies overcome the stigma and trauma of being "alone" in this fight! I've walked in their fundraisers and would recommend anyone battling breast cancer to visit their office and be blessed by their support!

Everyone at the WSW group was awesome! I was 39 when I found out I had breast cancer and being a wife and mother of five, I was terrified. They gave me lots of information about breast cancer, a video to share with the kids. They also gave me 3 bags filled with information for my 3 younger children books to help them understand at their age level what you are going through. I also enjoy going to the support group whenever I can. The ladies have great success stories to share along with what it was like for them going through surgery's and treatments. If you have cancer and are in need of help or need someone to talk to they are there for you. It's been 1 year and 5 months since I was diagnosed, I am now in remission.

Definitely a community asset! Local assistance available to move through the journey of cancer. Support and resources are plentiful here as well as a listening ear...
