This IS one of those Hospice places that will push your loved one towards death and then you have to watch them suffer in Active Death for days because they were not ready to go or God has no early check in available.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Money talks to these people! So if your loved one has stage 6 dementia and requires 24-7 care, which they had at home. Then all you need is a wealthy POA to show up one day and bam...admitted they want that $. So dont worry about the following exemptions they have on this website.
(Copied from Coastal Hospice website) Stansell House is not able to admit patients:
Who pose (or whose family poses) an active risk of violence or harm to self/others
Whose symptoms require round the clock skilled nursing care

-----------‐‐--------------------------------------
Nurse/CNA- Will also take items from patients room when you leave. Which then causes an entire shift of employees on a different shift to search for hours for the items to return to you.

------------------------------------

LO had stage 6 dementia and was also mobile with some assist. Once he got pushed into this place he was told to pee in his depends because the nurse that day straight up said to him, "your exhausting to have to keep taking you back and forth to the bathroom".
This is completely the intake person's fault as all they could do was smell money and not give one thought on what the patient needs.
This is NOT a "round the clock skilled nursing facility" and it says that on your website but hey....money talks!!!
------------------------------
ZERO Compassion! Offered NOTHING but a tiny little thin sheet as I stayed by my loved ones side for days! Not even offered a glass of water....ever after all the drinks from the room were STOLEN. FOR DAYS these heartless people treated us like nothing...straight invisible. But let the money walk thru the door the last couple days and you are swapping partial shifts to come in and act like that money is gonna take you back to the AirBNB tripping over each other to get it. Yet not one of you hold a candle to the wind in compared to what that "money" has back HOME on the West Coast.
-------------------------------------

BOARD MEMBERS: pull the cameras of every single day and minute. These people have ruined your theory. The theory YOU work countless unpaid hours to build, and countless unpaid hours to raise money and pay their checks.

These employees are so careless they leave confidential/private documents such as employee list with names and phone numbers laid all over the front desk, patient medical/ confidential information, "comment" notes, etc and then nobody to be found to let you out. So its really just reading material for anyone while waiting for someone to appear? Good thing I am not a thief to steal patients personal info but it did make it a whole lot easier to get your employees names. Contact me - I will give you every name that made this life changing time a wretched time!
--------------------------------
I am NOT done. I am a firm believer in advocating and this will NEVER happen to anyone else ever again.

A wonderful place at the worst of times. We were only there a short time but were treated like family. We feel so fortunate to have found the Stansell House when we had a bad experience at The Moorings Nursing Home/hospice combination. Every staff member was friendly, caring, and honest about our loved one’s condition. We liked that the doctor met with us after intake to discuss his care. My husband was able to spend the night in his room at the end as they have a pull out couch in each room. We felt he received the best of care here and are grateful for the Stansell House and staff. Had our loved one been in better condition to get around he would have loved the scenery and grounds right there on the bay.

Not a large facility but new and very nice. The patient rooms are large enough for plenty of family and friends to visit at once. There is a kitchen area, several private rooms, as well as some lobby areas and outdoor areas. The staff was very friendly and attentive to both patient and family needs.
