We found this place out of necessity. What a great bunch they really love pets and are busy. They made our Rocky feel right at home. It made our vacation at the beach complete. Knowing our dog was cared for like family. He was exercised during the day, and we even picked him up for the day then dropped him back off. What a nice place, Rocky will be back. I liked that it was not commercial like a store, even the location was woodsy.

The only issue we had was that Google maps brings you to the public storage facility past the Dogtel Hotel if you're headed east. We passed it three times and took three u-turns to find it. Initially we took Capt. Jack to our pet friendly hotel but you can't walk dogs on the Ocean City boardwalk and there's very few places for him to go so we decided to board him last minute.
We pulled in to the Dogtel Hotel and couldn't wait to start our vacation. I’m always nervous when coming to a new boarding facility. The last two places left Capt. Jack shaking, anxious and throwing up for days. I was nervous, but the ladies were so nice and friendly that we were instantly confident leaving my baby there. He was fine around them. The check-in was quick and easy. I gave a copy of our records showing he had all his shots, and negative for parasites etc. and they filled in a paper with notes of exactly how we wanted him fed and how many times he should be let out. No problem they said!
We walked inside and saw where Capt. Jack would be staying. The suites are like stalls with barn doors. They are $50 per night which is steep, but what it costs at the height of the season. I was surprised that there were no odors and how clean it was! They even had extra fans going to keep it cool for the dogs.
Our Jack Russell Chihuahua who is 9 pounds had his own suite, they supplied him with his own raised bed with clean sheets, and fresh water and food throughout the day. He was taken taken care of and that's what's important!! Who cares if the sign was spray-painted. It's not a brand new facility but it’s not run down by any means. It was nice, clean and no strong nasty odors like other places I’ve walked out of. The Dogtel Hotel was full and all the animals were happy and barking, not whining/crying. The ladies are very nice, love animals, and they took care of my baby!
Capt. Jack has a nervous habit of rubbing his nose excessively when he's not with us which I forgot to mention! They actually padded the door with blankets so he wouldn't hurt his nose! No other facility has done that before and he usually comes home with a sore nose!
We picked Capt. Jack up on our way home and he was fed, he was hydrated, smelled good after his stay and he was so happy and content which makes us happy!
We are SO VERY HAPPY with The Dogtel Hotel and will use them again every year now. Thank you ladies!! XO Capt. Jack

We have used Dogtel Hotel for almost 5 years. They have been GREAT! Our dog buddy gets all exited as we drive down their little road. When we get out of the car he drags me to the front door so he can get inside. He freaks out wildly when he’s sees the ladies. They clearly treat him very well.
