Surf Inn Suites

Surf inn has a nice location with a nice spot on 71st street right next to the beach and has so much potential me and my fiance stayed here for three nights and we were kinda disappointed in the lack of care for the hotel room and policy. Guest constantly smoked outside of their rooms and the smell followed into the rooms. There was stains on the ceiling and on the furniture and black specs of something on the beds The refrigerator was really nice and big and clean on the inside, but the outside it was filthy with some type of grease stain and un vacuumed debris behind it. The burner was also a little bit dirty and greasy. These are very nice items to have in a hotel but when the staff does not maintain them, it tends to leave a mess that ruins the atmosphere and the potential of this hotel. Do better I will add pictures to this too thanks for the stay but put the customer first and do a little more detailed cleaning.

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend and we had the best time! The husband and wife that own the place are very attentive and friendly. Asking if anyone needs anything and checking in to make sure everyone was okay. The location was perfect right next to the beach. The rooms were in okay condition, but much better than I was expecting. Overall great weekend, thank you!

So our stay was very good! Yes it was out dated. Nothing cute about the rooms. But it was clean. The bathroom was clean. We did have to clean all utensils and cookware before using them, but I was grateful to have what was there and the kitchenette! We did have to go buy a cheap frying pan because there were only pots available. We left the frying pan for the next guest hopefully that helps! We asked for someone to bring us a frying pan but no one ever came but we made it work. The towels were clean but did have a very potent musty smell. Luckily we brought our own bath towels and used the hotel ones to clean up water on the floor and drying our feet from the pool. I wish the air conditioning was cooler but it did its job and we didn’t have weather over 80 so we got lucky there and the kids loved the pool. We saw someone cleaning it every morning which was very comforting! The rooms aren’t very quiet. We could hear our neighbors ever move including the cars driving by. The worst complaint I have is the cigarette and blunt smoking we had to endure. Many times other guests were outside breaking up weed and rolling blunts while I directed my children to the pool trying to keep our distance. It was hard because people sat right at the steps smoking blunts. For this reason only we won’t be back. I need my kids to be safe and healthy and the amount of cigarettes we had to endure was just terrible. Thank you for the stay but we won’t be back.
