Sun Outdoors Ocean City Gateway

I originally made a reservation in March of 2024 for October of 2024, but life happened and I need to move it. We moved it to this weekend checking in on Thursday but then found out in February that our youngest son’s graduation was that day so we needed to push it one day more. They were fantastic about it, no issues at all. The campground was clean, peaceful and the staff was very friendly. We did use the mini golf but that was it. A bit too chilly for the pool and waterpark in the other resort. Our dogs enjoyed the dog area. We had a premium back in spot which had plenty of room in the hard surface space for our camper as well as an adjacent hard surface area for the picnic table and stone encirclement fire pit area. We will certainly be back.

We booked a deluxe cottage to stay at for the Boardwalk Rock Festival. It was perfect for our group of 6 (that included a 5-year-old)! We were able to save money on buying food at the boardwalk by making food at the cabins. It was affordable. There was a shuttle back and forth between the festival and the campground which made it extremely convenient. We loved the location of our cottage... so much so that we booked another two-night stay in June to enjoy Frontier Town for our daughter's birthday. Loved having a screened in board for night time and the mornings.

I have enjoyed this campground for many years. I just returned from a 3 night stay. My issue is with adhering to the dog policy. In 3 days, I had 3 separate incidents with other dogs. In 2 incidents, 2 dogs jumped their fences and came running at my dog. The 3rd incident was a dog who was free roaming on their sight. That is 5 dogs in 3 days. My dog is leashed 100% of the time. For the safety of all humans and pets, PLEASE enforce your leash (even within site fence) policy! There is a dog park where dogs can be off leash.
