Take a step back in time at the Western Theme Park, featuring our classic Wild West Shows and Native American Village. Prefer things a big more leisurely? Head bayside to the 200 foot long fishing pier. Go for a kayak tour or fishing charter. Take part in our planned activities. Visit the arcade and gift shop. Stroll along the nature trails. We even have 2 dog parks for your furry family members to enjoy! And if you forgot something or need a meal away from the campfire, our fully-stocked camp store, full service restaurant and bar, and ice cream parlor are sure to fix you right up.

Sun Outdoors Frontier Town
I’ve stayed at many campgrounds and was looking forward to enjoying Frontier Town, but unfortunately, my experience is far from positive.
One of my main concerns is the campground’s no bike riding after sunset policy. As a licensed adult, I find it unreasonable that I can’t ride my bicycle at night—especially when others are driving golf carts around the property well after dark. What’s troubling is that many of these carts appear to be driven by underage kids, some of whom are speeding through the campground at night. At the same time, adults are visibly drinking while operating these vehicles. I understand that safety is a concern when it comes to bikes at night, but I have proper lights on my bike and take precautions. If golf carts are allowed after dark, I don’t see why a well-lit bicycle operated by a responsible adult should be banned. It feels like an unfair and inconsistently enforced rule.
Equally frustrating was how I was treated when I tried to voice my concerns. The front office staff was dismissive and unprofessional. When I respectfully asked questions, I was essentially told that my concerns weren’t worth their time, and I was informed that the manager- Carrie, had “no interest” in speaking with me. As a paying guest, I expected to be treated with basic courtesy and respect—something that was clearly lacking.
What made things even worse was an incident involving a staff member named Morgan. I overheard her speaking disrespectfully about my family to other employees, apparently unaware that we were still within earshot. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional, it’s deeply inappropriate and reflects poorly on the entire operation.
Frontier Town has potential, but without fair policies and respectful, professional staff, it falls short of what guests deserve.

I recently stayed at Frontier Town with 4 of my grandkids. They love it every time, but I love it less since Sun Outdoors took over. Some things have changed and I hope that you review feedback and consider making some changes. Rentals should have an opportunity to check in earlier than 3 by paying an extra fee. Prices have increased for many things so still allowing early check in would be additional income, stagger campers, and make many guests happy. If you're worried that too many guests would request this service then limit it to a percent that is manageable for staff and first come like you do with cabanas. I was not impressed by the Wednesday night adult night at the pool. Management should look into this, Frontier Town is family oriented and that was not projected during this event. I would not have been comfortable with my kids getting ice cream or being down there with the number of people who were attending this public pool evening and were not campers. A big BOO to switching from coffee pots to Keruig single serve and not letting rentals Know was frustrating, had I known I would have brought my own K cups. At the very least you should have had complimentary K cups for cottages until renters could get to the store and buy them at a reasonable price ( not $13.00 ) for 10. On a positive, Diego was a lifeguard at the cement pond and he helped my handicapped husband in and out of the pool. There was a chair beside the pool that could have been used for this, but the life guards had not been trained on how to use and it needed a battery. The showers for the handicapped were also excellent as he could ride his chair into the shower area and I could go in to help him. Finally, what happened to checking in and picking up your packet from the staff outside, no need to go to the office.

Rented a cottage at Frontierland Campground. It was wonderful. Check-in was easy, everything is walkable. The unit actually has comfortable beds!! ( many times camping units do not) also it is well appointed… enough pots and pans.
The western theme is excellent since kids are no longer aware of out western history. Native Americans, cowboys and outlaws are all included. It has children learning without them being aware. The stunt riding show is excellent and the water park is clean and although somewhat small it has enough to keep everyone entertained…and cool.
The ropes course and zip line are very nice. My granddaughters did it. It comes with a great motivational speaker who encourages the kids!! It also has tree cover. Looking at the courses on the strip they seem to be out in the sun.
I highly recommend this campground.
