South Beach Apartment

Great price for a cute little place. It has everything you need, is comfortable and somewhat soundproof. It could use a deep cleaning. Would stay there again.

I gave two stars because of the great location. Wow, this place was dirty. I had to clean it myself when I got here. 🤢 So we booked at the motel but we were upgraded to the South beach apartments, Madison beaches other property across the road. I was happy to see the nice pictures online of the apartment. Then we got here and I was disappointed. The front desk person was ok. The power went out for about 45 minutes but that's not their fault. Not sure about any cleaning or maintenance staff.
First, the location is perfect. Love that part, close to the beach and boardwalk. The apartment itself, smelled musty and NOT even cleaned! I had to clean the kitchen counters, sweep the floors and wipe off the door due to dirty hand print on the inside. The floors were dirty, and the carpets in the bedrooms were disgusting. The walls have greasy stains on them and the back of the front door had some kind of food like stuff on it too! The furniture is super old and so dirty! Omg! I sprayed Lysol all over this place! No one walked around without shoes on. The cups, dishes, silverware had to be washed as there was some stuff on them. The beds were terrible! I'm glad I brought sheets and blankets from home! There is no plunger in the bathroom and they couldn't come for over an hour to unclog the toilet! The front of the apartment has a light that can't be turned off which I understand but there was an infestation of flying ants on the door, the beach towels we hung outside and some other things out there. There are dents on the freezer door and it was sticky to open. Ugh! The washer and dry were so loud we didn't even want to use it. They said there is no daily maid service but wow! At least clean before someone checks in.
I don't think we will be staying here ever again!

Okay sooooo Location? Wonderful ! Buttttt. We paid 1700 for the week. The sofa sleeper was broken, the mattress on it was also very broken. The beds are TERRIBLE ! The wifi? Well there is NONE ! The wifi signal comes from their sister motel across the street, def doesn’t reach the apartments AT ALL, we called about it, they reset the router - That did nothing ! The pool they claim we have access to, is also across the SUPER BUSY STREET at the motel, that is NOT big enough for an entire motel, and about 10-12 apartments to share, it’s not even big enough for a few grown adults ! so we couldn’t even go swimming in the pool. The sink in the bathroom was super clogged ! The floors were extremely dirty. The only thing great about this place is the location AND that is it ! Also my son left his security
Pillow there, that he’s had for 12 years, that was def our fault, but when I called about having them ship it (offering to pay the shipping) they completely disregarded me. I had to curse them out and hang up, only to finally receive a call back to then try and figure something out. Never again !!!!!!
