Ugh, where do I even start with this review.

We booked this hotel several months before for a music festival weekend looking for a cheap place to sleep and shower. On arrival we were told that our reservation was canceled for non-payment, despite the reservation website stating that it was pay at check-in. After 30 minutes of phone calls the front desk rep said that he had a room and would charge us ~$120 a night for it with a $160 REFUNDABLE security deposit. Our receipt issued showed these amounts.

When we checked out two days later, our rooms were RECHARGED A NEW RATE of $199 a night and there was no security deposit noted on the final receipt. Essentially they didn’t like the original room rate they charged so they rolled the deposit amount into the room rate to retain the full security deposit. Please keep in mind there was no damage to the room or violation of terms to justify keeping our deposit.

At checkout the clerk was unable to issue a refund stating that no security deposit was taken, (again because the manager doctored the numbers to appear that way.) after two weeks of calling and not being able to reach anyone, I have given up on retrieving the deposit and will pursue this through my bank and the Better Business Bureau.

For those of you unlucky enough to stay here, please note there is one at the front desk after sunset and they have no phone numbers posted in the event of an emergency . One evening our key became de-magnetized and we were UNABLE TO GET BACK INTO OUR ROOM during the middle of a terrible storm. We spent the better part of an hour trying to track someone down to let us back in. Around 12:30am my wife found a number online 1-800-677-6114 and someone from a hotel that is partnered with this one walked down and used a key to let us back into our room. Thankfully we didn’t have to sleep out on the pavement as another reviewer here had happen to them. Imagine being locked out of your room with no car keys or maybe even a wallet.

My parting words to those of you thinking of staying here, please don’t. This is a shady business that should be shut down and they will find a way to take your money. Go to one of the many other hotels/motels in the area.

Hi again you lovely ray of sunshine! Just to clear some things up since the owner clearly cannot read, i did not stay here and will advise others to also not stay here. Kicking people out is very understandable if they are genuinely violating rules but because they picked up and towel and you were having a bad day is not at all acceptable. Even the police said you were out of line and the way you were acting was ridiculous. They had to leave because you told them to, you as the owner can kick whomever you’d like out even if it’s for a silly reason. My friend and her boyfriend stayed here for one out of their four nights. To you, the owner, you need to learn how to properly run a business and not use vulgar language towards them and refuse a refund. Are you that broke?! You should be providing a nice stay for your guests and you can’t even manage to clean your rooms before new guests come!! YOU HAVE SAND IN THE BEDS LADY!! YOUR SHEETS ARE NOT WASHED!! I can’t even imagine how dirty your house must be. Also it’s “were” not “where”, go back to school!! STAY FAR AWAY!
Upon arrival this weekend, we were told that we no longer had a reservation. We made the reservation through our CC points system back in February. We did get a confirmation code for the room and dates. Once we arrived, We were told that the reservation was canceled in August, due to no CC on file. Even though the reservation was THROUGH our CC company. Shocked, and trying to figure out what was going on after a 4 hr drive, we took a room at a sister facility they had offered on 19th street. What we didn’t realize was THEY CANCELED OUR ROOM! So we went from an oceanfront view to the dump “Cabana” on 19th street. Not only did we PAY AND NOT STAY at our ocean view room we made a reservation for, they wouldn’t refund the difference for the cost of the place they stuck us in. Ocean view to parking lot view. For THEIR “Error”. A few photos of the room. The shower isn’t any better. Good luck trying to contact them in person. Stay away from this place. A great candidate for a B.B.B investigation.
