Thanks for the detailed tour on how rum is made! I have enjoyed visiting Secrets for many years and going through the tour of the distillery was incredible.
The first thing you notice and the first thing pointed out is all the antiques in this place. Evidently the owner is obsessed with the theme of prohibition, so much so that he has crazy money invested in time specific items. And to be fair, it is pretty cool. Well done owner.
Also, the rum is amazing. It seriously has an original taste better than anything else you’ve ever drank at a bar. Maybe it’s the Delaware corn or the expensive fancy vanilla.
Anyway, if you have the time and want a cool tour with awesome visuals, join secrets distillery for a trip into the olden times.

This distillery tour is totally awesome! Lisa from Brooklyn, NY wants to give a major shout-out and hello to Jeff and Marisa, who made the tour not only interesting but fun as well. Marisa's hospitality was truly outstanding, and Jeff was engaging and showed such great enthusiasm in doing the tour. The tour itself is only $15 for an hour, and you get to sample three of their liquors with the option to buy at a discount from the little gift shop. During the visit, you get to see so many cool old artifacts around the factory that have been collected by the owner, and you get to see the process from start to finish how the alcohol is made and flavored. From the samples I tried, the spiced rum was the best, which to no surprise is also the most popular. For those who enjoy tours/tastings, then this is definitely a must do while visiting Ocean City.

AWESOME TOUR EXPERIENCE!!! Our tour guide, Jeff, was so knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour itself is very well structured. There are numerous antique items throughout the distillery that have been curated by the owner of Seacrets, Leighton Moore, which are a fascinating aspect of history (ex: Thomas Edison’s work bench, filing cabinets from Ford Motors, a telephone from WWII ships, grinders from England, fermentors from Canada, fencing from the Chicago river, guitars signed by Johnny Cash). The tour ends at a speakeasy style bar where you can choose 3 spirits to sample. Very reasonably priced at just $15 per person! Definitely recommend!
