Two years ago this place was awesome, especially sitting upstairs. Two years ago we had excellent service from the front of house to the servers.
This time around the front of house had about a hald dozen people who were all less than friendly and arguably not best suited for working in customer facing roles. The bartender was friendly, but the bar back in the cubs hat wasn't welcoming at all. He had two opportunities to greet us at the bar, but focused on getting ice - even though he made eye contact twice. Its okay.
Wouldn't recommend this place anymore, especially as there are so many other more friendly establishments around the area.

Visited Ropewalk for Memorial Weekend and we had to come back in bethany again yesterday. The food is always amazing, and the family absolutely loves the atmosphere here. Our server, Leart, was fantastic really excellent service. Highly recommend!

First time coming here and I absolutely love the decor personally. Iām big into fish and I was blown away by the interior decoration here. Everyone was super friendly from start to finish! Our server was very attentive and very helpful when it came to making menu suggestions and just overall had a bubbly personality. We sat on the top patio which was spacious and inviting and also clean and you can still see the beach from here! The cocktails were delicious, I highly recommend the spicy margarita š¶ļø The food was also delicious, we got a crab cake sandwich, short ribs, and catfish and everything was so good! Portions were perfect too, we left full and content š You know we went to another restaurant close by and we had to leave because no one ever came to our table, and we ended up here at Ropewalk and you really turned the mood and day around for us! Great service, great view and atmosphere, and great food and drinks! I hope we see you all whenever we come back to Bethany Beach š
