Ocean Terrace Apartments

The location is prime, a 2 minute walk to the boardwalk and beach. Front porch is nice. The space is comfortable and reasonably priced. My only complaint was the service. We arrived Wednesday to our tub having a slow drain and the stove not working. We called Thursday and the woman we spoke to was pretty rude. We called Friday and a much nicer woman helped. Our tub was fixed the next day. But not the stove. The plumber did enter without knocking and while we were napping.

Really good value for the money. Very close to the beach and clean.

It is an older building and there is only one outlet in most rooms so you may want to bring a power strip or an extension cord. The kitchen was missing forks but we picked some up at Walmart for $2 and left them in the unit.

Overall though we loved the place and will likely go back and stay. I love the location and price relative to other OC MD apartments.

This was one of the worst vacation experiences I’ve ever had. We stayed on the first floor and discovered bed bugs in the apartment. I ended up with numerous bites, and I have photos documenting both the bed bugs and the bites.

Instead of enjoying our vacation, we spent our time worrying about being bitten, checking all of our belongings, and trying to make sure we didn’t bring bed bugs home with us. It completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing trip.

To make matters worse, we only received a partial refund despite having to deal with an unacceptable and unsanitary situation. A partial refund does not make up for the stress, discomfort, and risk of bringing bed bugs back into our home.

A clean and safe place to stay is the bare minimum when you’re paying for accommodations, and this apartment failed to provide that. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering staying here think twice. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this property to anyone.
