I should have realized from the start when I was given a total for one night of $80.58 but then was actually charged $91.42 something was sketchy.
When I arrived I was told there was an additional $100 deposit, which I could leave in cash and get back the next day or leave on a card but it was a $5 service charge. No mention of this deposit anywhere when I booked.
I asked why I was charged $11 more than what I was quoted and was told ‘uh.. there’s.. uh… a $10 parking fee.’ Again, no mention of this parking fee anywhere.
Red flags all around, but I was tired and the room was paid for so I went ahead with it.
Going to my room there was a girl sitting in the hallway smoking weed and talking loudly on her phone. Room was tiny, but I didn’t expect much for the price I paid. Bathroom was microscopic, my knees hit the wall when using the toilet.
Beds had a large dip in them and were not comfortable at all. Room smelled musty, but at least the sheets looked clean.
The window unit ac didn’t work great, and had mold in it. Shower also had mold in it. Noise from building and outside was obnoxious, especially for a weekend when there was no one here.
Checking out I had to wait for about 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. I was then told I didn’t leave a deposit, and only got it back when I threatened to call the police.
Definitely would not stay here again, no matter how cheap it is.

Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. The bathroom light didn’t work, but was promptly fixed when I reported it. The room was VERY tiny - the door rubbed against the side of the bed as I came in. Also, the shower stall is quite small. And it’s an old property, so there were not enough electrical outlets. But you get what you pay for, so it was a decent value for the price.

There are 2 Ocean Lodges right next to each other. Same company. We stayed at the 803. It is a newer building. Do not expect the extra amenities of a regular hotel. This is a basic lodge. No iron or iron board. No closet. But, a very, very clean room, clean bathroom (a bit small) with good working hot water and decent parking at $11 a day. Not a lot of units (10 in total) so its not crowed at all.Very close walking distance to the beach. No elevator and a slim stairway. Helpful staff. We only needed overnight so, it worked perfect. I would definitely return. I highly recommend this place.
