I would like to thank Ocean Aviation and CFI Ryan Duvall for the most increadble 2 days of basic flight instruction for my Son Patrick while we were at Ocean City on vacation. As a former pilot with about 700 hours, I can say without hesitation Ryan is clearly one the finest CFI's I have ever met. I wanted to give my 31 year old son a taste of flying that I loved for many years, and boy...,did OA and Ryan deliver. Top quality organization, late model aircraft, many with G1000, and truly wonderful staff.
If you want to take a Cessna Discover Flight, or start training for any level pilot ticket, check out Ocean Aviation . 5 stars all the way !

I moved from NJ to Delaware before I had a chance to complete my private pilot training due to the Canadian wildfires of 2023. I enrolled at Ocean Aviation in their finish-up program, flying out of Georgetown. I met with the president of the company initially and he graciously listened to and understood my situation and began formulating a plan to complete my training. One of the challenges we had to overcome was that I used to fly Pipers in NJ and his academy featured Cessnas. As such, he assigned an instructor who had previously made the same transition, from flying a low wing designed aircraft to a high wing one. We gelled immediately and my training continued at a rapid pace. I enjoyed every member of the Ocean Aviation team I encountered, especially my instructor Ryan Duvall and they did a great job getting me across the finish line in the most efficient manner possible. They all made me feel really welcome and I could tell other students I met were feeling the same sense of being on the right place. They do a great job on the scheduling front as well as with the training and I thoroughly enjoyed my association with them. I look forward to continuing our business relationship!!

This review is completely 1st hand as a former student there.
The instructors are very knowledgeable and personable. The owner, Mike, is arrogant and treats his staff terribly. They are also 25% higher in price than far supior schools Like Bayland Aviation.
As a student at Ocean Aviation, you only fly in perfect weather with minimal wind. No training whatsoever in real-life situations that can pop up especially as fast as weather changes on the eastern shore. If you want to learn how to fly in the real world, I would recommend Bayland Aviation in Salisbury Md. Well worth the drive.
