I’m disappointed I have to write this review. We’ve been going to this hotel and its sister The Edge for 20 years.
We decided to try the newly refurbished King room in the Lighthouse for a weekend, after staying at the Edge suites for many years. They were starting to get beat, so we wanted to try a new room.
First night was fine. The second night was awful. We came back after a day out to find a major water leak coming through an access hatch above the refrigerator/coffee station the front door. They had no other room to move us to, so they gave us a dirty plastic bin to catch the water. We had to clean up the mess ourselves, used half our towels, and deal with dirty dripping water and sounds all night. It was miserable.
We were told management would contact us about the problem - never heard from them. We followed up twice and they never responded.
Understandably these things happen. How management deals with these challenges makes the difference. For $400 a night off season, I would expect them to step up and make this right. Instead we won’t stay at either place again, because clearly they don’t value their customers or know how to provide service.
So disappointed…..

Had a wonderful time! Saturday we check in the staff have been amazing!
Love the new updated rooms. Love that there are snacks in the rooms and drinks.
3pm fresh warm cookies. Delish!
Perfect relaxing weekend.

The hotel itself is pretty and secluded, the room is pretty at a glance and so is the view of the bay, the in suite tub is nice as well. However, the room is definitely not worth the price. All of the furniture is terrible to sit on, including the bed which was awful and made both our backs hurt, not much sleep there unfortunately. The TV’s sound was messed up. The cleaning wasn’t that great, there were dead bugs on the window sills and cobwebs in the corners. The balcony and the balcony chairs are covered in bird poop. There’s also no microwave which is really strange and inconvenient. Again, it’s really pretty at a glance, but altogether nowhere near worth the price it costs.
