The location is good, but it is far from the OC beach boardwalk, which requires about a 15-minute drive. Parking can be challenging to find, as metered hourly fees are in effect. However, there are good sandwiches, pizza, shops, a beach, paddleboarding, ice cream, and mini-golf within walking distance from the hotel. They have a nice-sized indoor pool, a small gym, free parking, are pet-friendly with small fees, and have a place to grill.
When we checked into the hotel, our door did not lock, and the sink disposal didn't work. The breakfast was just okay. The night guest agent went out of her way to help us settle in, answering our questions and providing prompt service. Unfortunately, this was one of the dirtier Home2Suites we have stayed at, the carpet felt old and dirty, and the grill was not working.

Very spacious rooms, especially for OCMD. Great choices at breakfast. Overall a great room/hotel. Cons: 1 Pocket door for bathroom? Never have I ever seen this and not really good for children; 2 Small grassy area for dogs- not the worst but not very big; 3 Fire alarm went off two days in a row at 7am and had to evacuate building. Would stay again

The location in my opinion is perfect, not a long walk to the beach, and it's located on the Bay. You can see the undisturbed wild life. The staff on the morning shift. Kateryna, Shana, and Kasey!...They're welcoming and extremely polite. The staff I dealt with on the night shift! Carlos, is always at the desk and eager to assist you with whatever you need. I did not give 5 stars because I don't like to leave a perfect score and I couldn't cut the staff or location had to take it away from the room.
