Home2 Suites by Hilton Ocean City Bayside

We stayed 3 days/2 nights. We frequent Ocean City a lot and this was our first time staying at Home2. The room, super clean, small kitchenette, small couch, super convenient Location. Breakfast, for a hotel, was by far probably the best hotel breakfast we've ever had.

But...a few things that caught us off guard. The bathroom door...is not a door. It's a pocket door. And very hard to open/close (or at least ours was) and while we had no reason or need to lock the door, the lock on said pocket door did not work.

I was under the impression we were getting a queen sized bed. The bed definitely was NOT a queen. It was definitely a full, possibly a full XL but it was definitely not a queen.

And on the 5th floor, absolutely not an ounce of hot water. Not from the shower nor from the sink. We tried to let it warm up and after 5 minutes or so, it may have been body temperature warm. Not having hot water in the shower is reason enough that we will probably not stay here again.

Now, if hot water isn't an issue for you, go for it. Hotel is clean, staff was friendly and breakfast was great for free hotel breakfast.

I love the room a lot. Very big, comfortable, cozy and full of anything you need, even more.
The hotel near the beach and many restaurants, shops, convenient stores.
The downside of the room is the soundproof. It is very very bad. You can hear anything happens from next door, hallway, upstairs.
And a tiny one, receptionist who checked in for me is not very good at her work. Maybe she is new. They have a small bell at the desk so you can call if you come. But I was ringing it 3 times until she showed up. Even though I called in advance for my check in 2 days before I showed up but she took long time for me to check in at 5am and requested me to pay even though I paid through the apps. But in the end it was not so bad, she was not rude at all. I was just not really happy when it happened when I was so tired from the trip

I was pleasantly surprised! Stayed here during Oceans Calling. Rooms are big and it was really nice to have a full kitchenette. Excellent service! The best part is that they have laundry rooms so I was able to wash all of my clothes when I got soaked in day 1 and not have to drag soggy clothes home. Also, I didn't bring my dogs, but it's super dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.
