The room was more than what we anticipated; with weather reaching the high 80's, the cool, relaxing blast of the AC upon returning made our stay worth while. The concierge were kind and gracious when checking in and checking out. The staff were generous and kind. Especially when serving morning breakfast and tidying up our rooms. Perhaps, next time, I will ask for their names. 5/5 would stay again.

Some of the staff (cleaning and breakfast) is super nice. And location is good, near a park and a short walk to the beach . But breakfast was outrageously crowded. Like, a slow line out the door. When we had a maintenance issue, I was told I needed to fix it myself because “I don’t do toilets” (quoting the woman at the desk). They brought a plunger in a bucket that had filthy sewer water in it. They were out of towels half the time. Both at the pool, and for our bathroom, which made it hard to take a shower after the beach.

Location location location! across the street from the beach. surrounded by restaurants. next to the northside park where the fireworks were on our only night in town! couldn’t ask for a better location to do everything we wanted to do in OC without driving. Hotel has 2 pools, 1 indoor and 1 outdoor. Kids loved the outdoor pool and since it’s on the west side of the building, it has some sun until the sun sets.
