Hilton Garden Inn Ocean City Oceanfront

The location is great for this hotel. Beachfront and close to the boardwalk. This used to be the Dunes Manor. I liked it better as the Dunes. First they did not accept pets. No offense to animal owners but when I am on vacation I don’t want to smell or hear your dog. Second they did not charge for parking. They now charge $10 a day. The staff was friendlier when it was the Dunes. The mostly unfriendly staff could be just because staff, in general, are often discontent or there is an issue with hiring. My guess it is a little of both. I was booked to come back in the fall. But the pet thing really is non negotiable for me. Sorry.

Our stay was fantastic and I would return. The rooms were modern and accessible through both keycard and the Hilton app. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful for anything we needed. Breakfast was fast and tasty. The gym didn't have many options for weights, but it was adequate for a quick workout. You can't beat the beach access and the ocean views.

First they messed up our reservation. Our family got separated by two floors. Waited over 30 minutes to check into a dirty room after 4:30. They wouldn’t honor an 30 min late check out. Gave us a water bottle instead. Ocean view was the best part of our stay. Staff was lacking customer service and knowledge of their own services. In house restaurant was just subpar. Even though the staff wasn’t familiar with the menu, they were at least accommodating and flexible with our large party of 12. Food was lacking. This hotel needs more elevators and ones that have better algorithms. Slow elevators made for angry guests. This hotel is just a short walk to the boardwalk but it wasn’t enjoyable with the amount of people smoking/pot and no enforcement to the no smoking rule. It’s a one and done for us. Spent half the funds that it cost us to go to Disney for 5 days just in the hotel.
