It's been awhile since we've been in the Grand and the first time we've actually stayed here. I would never pay in season prices for the room we had. Luckily we stumbled upon and deal for the off season. The room is mostly clean but man the odor is strong. Like mold and cigarettes. It was so bad we told the front desk so they didn't think we had been the smokers. The smell made it so difficult to sleep. I woke up feeling like I was choking on it a couple of times. The room definitely needs some upgrades. For one of the nicer rooms available you shouldn't have moldy falling off trim on the jacuzzi tub a shower that isn't the greatest, mystery stains almost everywhere, and no working outside light. This could be a better stay with a little love in the rooms and updated overall decor in the main hotel. The swiss miss hot chocolate for $6 in the coffee bar was the topper on the cake.

It's been a few years since our last stay at the Grand. First time was wonderful. Disappointed in our current visit. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Rooms definitely need an update, carpet had stains and what looked like burn marks (maybe from cigarettes?), there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The smell of chlorine was so strong, we opened our balcony door. Then there was this scent of a citrus odor-ban room spray that I swear was coming through a vent, it was so strong, I think I still smell it. We had to ask for towels the last evening of our stay, housekeeping never came that day. They brought towels, but didn't take the trash which was full. The location of the Grand is wonderful, the Epic Grill is a quiet bar/lounge with delicious food. There's a pizza restaurant with a game room, a Java Cafe and an ice cream shop which was very convenient.

Very nice hotel with all inclusive type style. There are several places to eat, shops, game rooms, pools, pool tables, large chess, gym, laundry, etc. You could stay and not have to leave. They also offer room service until 9 during off season- peak might be later. Rooms are nice and spacious. Beds and linens are comfortable. Most rooms will have a view of the ocean due to the shape of the hotel. Staff was friendly. We had a lovely relaxing peaceful time.
The only things even remotely wrong are the showers could be a bit bigger (if you’re very large I don’t think it will be easy) and the pool temp warmer. But those weren’t even really issues. I didn’t take many photos this time but it’s a pretty place. Thank you for a lovely stay!
