Fish Tales Boardwalk Inn

Pros:

The location is not the best but still very good (23rd street). They also have a restaurant nearby with good views and live music (at certain time) and very good food, as well as several mini-golf places in walking distance (we went to Nick's, with coupon provided upon checked in the hotel).

The room service is good. They offer daily room service which included in the room. Even we denied the service they still checked with us for our other supplies such as towls and soaps.

All the staffs are friendly. We feel welcomed since we check-in.

Has an outdoor pool where you can enjoy the beach view.

Cons:
We booked one of those without kitchen and thought it comes with microwave and refrigerator, but nope. It could be because my husband mistakenly clicked on the wrong room while booking, but it is disappointing to find out that it doesn't even come with coffee maker neither.

Also, it is a small room with no shampoo & conditioner & body lotion but just several very thin layer hard (I mean the PH) soap, not to mention no hair dryer. (There's a plug on the wall labeled as hair dryer though.) We didn't bring these stuffs as we didn't expect 2-star could mean this. Last but not lease, I found their toilet seat is a bit lower than most hotels/public restrooms I've used, so as someone has knee problems I wish it could be taller. (Though it could mean more kids friendly if they are not too young.)

To sum up:
It depends on what you need. If you want just a very basic hotel with good sea view and farther away from the businesses on the boardwalk with reasonable price, it is a good choice. If you are an adult like me who prefer has a bit more appliance/supplies available, this place might be too basic for you.

Great location, right on the beach/boardwalk! Was able to walk to most places of interest, if you didn't want to drive and wanted to go to the other end of the boardwalk with the rides you could take the trolly that stops right outside the hotel. They have a pool on site that was open all day and very clean.

Customer Service was great, very friendly throughout the entire stay. They offer room service throughout your stay but you can decline it if you don't need anything.

Would definitely recommend staying here, we will be back again in the future.

Location is great and loved the pool area. Just me and my daughter for a quick weekend getaway Fri-Sun. We said we would come back for another weekend, even with the uncomfortable beds. After Sat. night into Sunday, no way. Party people right above us and paper thin walls until 1:30 am and it started back up at 5 am. When people walk it sounds like they are in our room not to mention the constant blaring thumping music. Very disappointing and now driving 6 hours on no sleep. Deserve a refund for one night.
