Carousel Hotel

Overall a great place. Older hotel and definitely no luxury resort but spacious rooms with everything you need. Our closet door was so bowed it could not close and the cabinets could use replacing but it was clean and functional. Several places to sit, balcony, good water pressure and a great location for a reasonable price, at least during the off season.

Kids had a great time at the hockey tournament in the lobby, went swimming and didn't want to leave the hotel. In hotel food and drink options were overpriced and the service at the restaurant was subpar. Plenty of food options within walking distance though and enough parking if you do opt to drive somewhere. Overall great trip!

The amenities are great and our grandchildren loved the bounce house! We were disappointed in the accommodations, especially the substandard cleanliness of the rooms. Quality control on the housekeeping is not being performed. There was a permanent ring around the bathtub, growth on the ceiling tiles in the bathroom and scum around the sink faucets. The back of the draperies were filthy. I understand coming out of season is to expect some wear and tear on the rooms but you need to do better in the housekeeping department. We also had a friend visit the bathroom which was concerning. We saw it on the last day so it was too late to request another room. Please take more time to clean and detail the rooms, as well as to exterminate regularly. Also, the beds are lumpy and very uncomfortable, but the linens were especially comfortable. The outside bar servers could have been a bit more friendly but the inside staff was great! Food is a bit pricey but expected. More food/appetizer specials would be nice to offer. Overall, the kids enjoyed it and didn’t notice the details. They were there for the fun, which they had a lot of it. The fire pits were also a big hit!

This is the 2nd time our family has stayed at the Carousel. Both times, our rooms have been spotless, the beds have been comfortable, and the hotel staff has been super accommodating. Cheryl (manager) is the absolute best, and a true asset to the property! Our family is thrilled to call the Carousel our “home away from home”! Great place, and amazingly convenient!
