Cabana Motel

I stay here every year. Always have a good experience. Our microwave wasn't working and within minutes we had a new one. The floors were clean, bed was clean, staff was friendly. It's close to the beach. I've realized the less you expect the better you receive. Each year they welcome us back with smiles. When you're pleasant they are pleasant. See you again next year!

I showed up expecting worse, I work in a luxury hotel but can’t afford such. Overall, the rooms were ok to spend a few days in. My family had separate 3 rooms here. I found a few pieces of opened candy in my room on arrival behind the stand and a hanger under the bed. Some updating should definitely be done asap, walls, furniture and bedding are kind of outdated. Bathroom had a small amount of black mold. The pool is small, but enjoyable for kids or to get in and cool off. Tv worked great. There’s not much more I think I could have asked for from a motel that’s 70 years old. I had a good time.

2nd year in a row staying here. Will be honest first year was MUCH BETTER than this year. Check in was super easy, I like the fact that even if you’re early they give you the parking pass and let you use the pool until they’re ready with the room. When we got our room we immediately checked the room before bringing anything in and checked the beds, like always, to make sure there’s nothing going on… we got a double room for my fiance and I and his brother. Our bed was clean but his brothers bed was not so I had to go ask the guy to have the ladies bring fresh sheets. Which we only waited about 10 minutes for them to come up and do but they ended up putting dirty sheets on again so he laid on top of the comforter with his own blanket. We asked THREE TIMES for a do not disturb sign and never got one (we stayed Monday to Friday) our bed was super super hard. The shower sucked really bad, one side was only hot the other was only cold. No in between. There was already sand in the shower before we went on the beach which showed they didn’t really clean it ……. Spoke to a lovely lady who stayed in a double room who’s room smelled really bad like urine. The pool is small but at least they have one, they do keep it nice and clean! The area around it is really nice to sit in. The guys at the front desk were always nice. The AC wasn’t the best but it was helpful.
It’s cheap motel so if you’re expecting perfect don’t come here. You get what you pay for really. Nice that’s it’s so close to the beach.
It’s really not the worst, I’ve stayed in worse places but this is a MOTEL so don’t have your expectations too high.
Honestly would give it a 6/10
