DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Check in/main office is in a different building..down the street. Looks nice but it's not. No staff on site. 3 floors and no elevator to bring your luggage up, you have to drag it up the narrow stairs. Room was tiny --maybe 1-2 feet on each side of the bed and that was it. There was no remote for the TV and no buttons on it to turn it on. Had to sit in silence and hear the people next door which was ridiculous. It's an old big house with thin walls. Woke up to ants all over our stuff and in our bed. Complained to staff (at the office down the street) and they said they couldn't help me since I booked through Priceline...

Please be aware that if you book a standard hotel room you are not staying in The Commander - you're staying in a building one block from the boardwalk. The "beach house" with the standard hotel rooms DOES NOT have a handicapped entrance nor does it have an elevator. There is also no bell services in the the beach house so you will have to carry all of your luggage and belongings up the stairs yourself. The cleaning people who work in the beach house are quite rude. There is also no front desk staff in the beach house. If you have an issue you need to call (from your cell phone) over to the commander hotel. While we were there it was clear as day that there were people there partying day and night keeping their children (ranging in ages from 15 months - 13 years old) outside on the porch very late at night and with no hotel staff to keep an eye on the guests nothing was done about it.

We booked a double bed standard room at the beach house. We thought we were right on the board walk but that’s the actual hotel, not the beach house. We had to walk one block to the beach which is still a great location just misleading from the website. Our room literally was big enough for 2 beds. It was very small! We had to ask for clean towels after they took our dirty ones and never replaced them with clean ones. The tv does not go above volume 15.
