Assateague Bar & Grill
We frequent Assateague Island, and had never been to this hidden gem of a diner/bar/grille. The food was delicious and PLENTIFUL. The service was fast and extremely friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable, and family-friendly. We DEFINITELY will be returning very soon.

Arrived around 4:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty, but the bar was hoppin apparently due to happy hour 2-5pm.
There was no host or servers, bartender was doing 3 jobs. I'm assuming they don't get much restaurant activity in the off season. We were served fairly quickly and kitchen was fast; I think there was only 1 guys back there.
Order included: pickle chips, cheesesteak egg rolls, nachos, and a salad with grilled chicken.
Pickle chips were some of the best I've had, obviously fresh and fairly thick slices. Not a ton of breading. Cheesesteak egg rolls left much to be desired, there was nothing cheesesteak like about it - honestly tasted like a pureed Burger King patty. Nachos were topped with a tasty chili, typical fixings. I think they make their own chips? Tasted and looked fresh to me. Salad was as expected, really tasty chicken.
I would definitely come back. Only gave service a 3 since the bartender was spread thin and we didn't get typical service. Expect a good meal, and better bar food.

Loved my fish taco, fish sandwich and french onion soup! Nice cool place. Spacious, clean and lots of tables.
Crew is ready to assist me in my order and was very patient since i could not decide what to eat. The order was quickly served fresh and hot. Fish sandwhich was huge!
Parking and clean restrooms are available. A bar is just next room. I highly recommend this place!
