Whitney at the front desk welcomed me with eye contact and a smile the second I walked through the door. I asked about an upgrade to a king bed and she generously put me in a premium room on the top floor with a great view. A nice perk of attending a conference in off season. She later greeted me when I came in for the evening asking if I was enjoying myself. The housekeeper in the morning went above and beyond to honor a special request and thoroughly cleaned my room!
The conference food is good and the amenities are nice. I would highly recommend the Ashore for a getaway or a special event.

when we first checked into our room there was a mini flood by the balcony and door, we went downstairs to change our room
And they immediately accommodated us to another room, note that all ocean views are sideways not upfront because of the way the hotel is built, if I could rate the food I would give it a 5/10 most of the meals had pork in them, if you do not eat pork you do not have a lot of options.
We ate at the lunch spot and we thought we would be happy but we ended up not eating anything else on the resort but fries, considering it was pretty pricey as well, we were looking forward to eating at the award winning restaurant but unfortunately due to all the pork in the meals we decided not to. There were many amenities available such as umbrellas and chairs for your convenience, but go early because by 10 most of the umbrellas were gone and you need to rent one (you get your money back) the beach was private but anyone can really come on realistically but I didn’t mind that. The drinks were really expensive compared to going to a bar and getting one or buying your own liquor/ beer at the store. I recommend you bring your own, the store as always is overpriced. Overall the room with comfortable beds and the terrace that had a view of the beach was my favorite because you can sit out and relax without anyone bothering you. The pool was nice, but very small and would get crowded very fast due to limited seats. This is a kid friendly resort, and family friendly. If you want to relax this is a good place to be! I wish it wasn’t as expensive as it was when we booked it because we expected more, but it wasn’t bad at all! The service was nice all the workers were polite. We didn’t want our room cleaned when we came but we stayed for 4 days after and only got it cleaned the second day, I didn’t mind that either but I thought we would come in to it cleaned I wondered if they did it every other day and not everyday overall give this place a 7.8/10

Beautiful stay!! excellent location - right on the ocean and close to all major restaurants and boardwalk. Loved having beach food/drink service. Blissful seating areas both indoor and outdoor including night time fire pits. My boyfriend and I were both very happy with the stay - we both agreed we would go back and recommend it to others. Only negative was soap and shampoo aren’t provided so be sure to bring your own
