I love this place! In town for a conference during the off season and so many things are closed. Luckily this cozy space is open year round! a true gem

On both of my trips to Ocean City, MD this winter, I visited this store. It is a wonderful gem!! There is an eclectic selection of books, wonderful wines, and a very friendly owner to greet you and make you feel right at home. There are handwritten reviews in many books which pique your interest.
I bought many for family and friends for Christmas gifts. Just today I found one which had me laughing out loud - had it not been displayed so well, I may never have found it.
If you are a book lover, a wine lover, or both, please give this nice young woman your business. It is worth the visit. You will find your shoulders relaxing, time moving a little slower and books awaiting a new home...and you can even sit a bit and sip some wine. It doesn't get better than that!

Thank God for this little paradise in Ocean City. It’s a wine bar and book shop all in one. I love The Buzzed Word for two really good reasons:
1. I love reading and the selection of books here are awesome. Such a wide variety, something for everyone, and most have a handwritten note from the owner on a little bit of what to expect about the book like a mini review or why it’s a great read and things like that. I LOVE that personal touch about this place.
2. The wine. I can drink wine anywhere…sure. But the wine selection here is SO good. Undoubtedly, the best wine selection in Ocean City but that’s just my opinion. Really delicious wines, organic wines, and unique wines that have expanded my horizons so much. And everyone there is super helpful and knowledgeable on wines, notes, and recs on what to drink which I appreciate a lot!
Come here to hang with friends and have some drinks, come here to sit and read with a glass of wine, pick up a new book, a bottle of wine to go, or find some fun little treasures to buy (so many cute things in there and I’ve seen some really cool retro / vintage things to buy too. Oh, and please please go to the bathroom (paying customer) when you visit and read the beautiful poems framed on the wall.
They have light snacks and other things to drink besides wine. Parking is never an issue.
