After trying a couple of other sushi restaurants that locals recommended, I had given up on finding an “okay” sushi restaurant in Ocean City. Another couple from the city recommended Sushi Cafe, so I knew I had to give it a try, and I’m elated with joy that I did!
I went the second day of reopening for the 2024 season, right at 5pm, and I’m thankful they were able to seat me. This place is small, like smaller than small. There’s a handful of tables, with roughly 10 seats at the sushi bar. The server and staff were attentive and gave me time to look at the menu, which is impressive for multiple reasons. The specialty rolls are creative, and they are significantly cheaper than the other local sushi restaurants. I ordered the Torpedo and Yeti Roll. Both were flavorful and I love that the pieces are bite size, as sushi should be! The fish was fresh and devout of the “fishy” smell.
Sushi Cafe is beyond just “okay”. They are phenomenal and even rival one of my favorite places in DC. Their menu is small and straight to the point. The chefs work efficiently and streamline their processes to get food to the customers, with minimal wait time. I will definitely be returning to Sushi Cafe on a weekly basis.

Coming from Washington DC this is good sushi. This restaurant holds up to the best in DC. If you want really good sushi in north OC MD then this is the place. Gyoza was amazing.. I don’t think I’ve had better anywhere

Amazing!!! We visited OC and found it by yelp. Rolls were so fresh, amazing mixture of taste and colors- absolutely perfect pairing. Food was quick and experience was amazing! Highly recommended and you can tell the team in the kitchen are passionate about quality and presentation.
