The Salisbury Zoological Park is committed to enhancing our quality of life by providing a friendly, relaxing environment where educational and recreational opportunities come together through participation and interaction. With its animals, staff, volunteers, and park-like setting, the zoo encourages an appreciation of wildlife and inspires conservation of our natural world.

The Salisbury Zoo, located in Salisbury, Maryland, was founded in 1954 when some animals were placed on permanent exhibition in the City Park. The Zoo’s present form resulted from improvements made in the 1970s. The Zoo now provides naturalistic enclosures for species native to North, Central and South America. The Salisbury Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. The Zoo’s policy is maintained by the Salisbury Zoo Commission, Inc. whose nine members are appointed by the Salisbury City Council. The Zoo is funded in-part by the Salisbury Zoo Commission and by the City of Salisbury.

Great clean, free, fun zoo. Not so many animals , but a few to keep you looking. We always leave with a smile on our faces. Please be kind and leave a donation even if it's a 5 cents. I always donate because it helps the zoo feed the animals and care for them ♥️

Although there aren't many animals to look at I still think this park is worth the trip! It's great for smaller kids that can't walk for too long. They have an awesome playground the kids can run around and play after looking at the animals and there are plenty of spots to sit and each lunch. Make sure you pack food and drinks, they have a small gift shop but it wasn't open when we went. I'm not sure if that's a normal occurrence but better to be prepared.

Small local zoo. Took my Wife for a behind the scenes meet and greet, this part is not free. It's written in the contract that visitors are not allowed to take pictures but the staff would and email them to me. The staff are not experienced with photography. Bottom line is the pictures they sent don't capture the event. Either let me take them or do better.
