locals alike for 49 years. Started by Dick Smith and taken over by Bob
Torrey 29 years ago, the restaurant has been a “must-visit” restaurant
for generations. Currently located at 26th Street in Ocean City, it is a
family run business with two generations of family working there. We
pride ourselves on offering good food, fast service, and a friendly
staff. We have expanded our season from full time in the summer, to
include weekends throughout the year to better serve the Ocean City
community. We are a family operated and family oriented restaurant –
family serving family is a way of life for us. Come visit us today and

We recently visited Happy Jack Pancake House for a December early morning breakfast, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we encountered no hassle at all—there was plenty of free parking available.
The restaurant's decor has a rustic, old-school charm that's both warm and comfy, perfect for those chilly December mornings. The coffee was excellent, and the omelets were top-notch—nothing fancy to look at, but the flavors were truly remarkable. This place focuses on taste, and it delivers exceptionally well.
The location is ideal, just a block away from the Ocean City Boardwalk. After enjoying a hearty and healthy breakfast, we took a lovely walk to the boardwalk to watch the sunrise. It was the perfect way to start our day.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy spot with great food and an unbeatable location!

This place reminds me of a unique upgraded iHop with a family atmosphere. My family and I were so glad we came here! The food and prices were awesome. Our server was very friendly and all who worked there were so nice. If you are in this vicinity in OCMD, you have to try it out. As Arnold would say, "I'll be back!"

Amazing! Short wait but it was well worth it! The service was phenomenal thank you Brittany L! The food was 10/10!!! Chef’s Kiss! I got the veggie omelet with home fries & it was really good. The others in my party got the Reese’s Cup Pancakes & they were described as heavenly & the Elvis Pancakes which were described as out of this world! The pancakes couldn’t be finished that’s how big the portions were! This place really hit the spot! If you are thinking about visiting Happy Jacks please do! You will NOT be disappointed!
