Grotto Pizza

We come to OC MD twice a yr and always like to try new places. Today was Grotto Pizza. Well I’ll start with wait time for pick up. Told 20 min, showed a up in 15- food was ready but cold. Stuffed rigatoni was not flavorful as advertised but decent portion. Other than being cold the garlic bread with cheese was decent. The tuna sub was ordered with American cheese and it came with provolone, they need better pickles, but the tuna itself was good. Too many issues for me to return.

We have eaten at this Grottos in years past while on vacation and had amazing food and service, so we stopped tonight hoping for the same. We were quite disappointed. Our table of 8 got all of our hot food brought out at different times and one pizza was totally forgotten, so everyone was done eating by the time the last order was brought. The communication from our waitress was hard to understand and she seemed confused about what was to be on each bill, at the end of our meal.

We are regulars in Ocean City and this is our first time trying Grotto Pizza. First impression was very good. The food was good and the service was great. We got the Antipasta Salad, Bianca Pizza and Classic cheese pizza. The salad was a decent size! With lots of toppings. The pizza definitely good and different from other local shops. Prices are little high for the area, but it’s nice to have a pizza place with great eat in environment. Plenty of parking and seating inside. The inside was spotless and clean. We would definitely go again in the future.
