Coastal Bistro

I had the pleasure of trying funnel cake and fries recently, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The funnel cake, with its delicate, crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior, was a true indulgence. The powdered sugar dusted on top added an extra layer of flavour that made it irresistible.

As for the fries, they were a savoury contrast to the sweet funnel cake. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, they had some potato skin which I liked :) If you're looking for a delightful and satisfying snack, funnel cake and fries are a winning choice that I wholeheartedly recommend whenever you are on vacay in OC, MD!

This place has pretty good food. It was right by our hotel in the OCMD boardwalk, so it was a 30 second walk. Now the food, is decent, depending what you get. They are 2x better at making dessert than regular food. The fries didn’t look that good, and the ketchup?? I don’t know where they got their ketchup but it’s something else. I wouldn’t eat it. But not a big deal, 30 second walk to the hotel to get some ketchup. The funnel cake?? THICK and they actually put powder sugar on it, best funnel cake I’ve had (comparing to carnivals) and it’s yummy. The service? It’s alright I guess. They seem to hate their job. Understandable with how many tourists (bad ones) they have to deal with on the day to day basis. The atmosphere? They have nice little benches, but the music in the shop next door? OUTRAGOUS. Shouldn’t have to yell to order food. Or lean in to be an inch away from the cashier’s face. Of course, that’s not the restraint’s fault.

Updating my review. Yes the prices were crazy and the food is below average. But the craziest thing I have been told by other OCMD vendors is the owner “Nelson” creates hundreds of gmail usernames and gives himself fake 5 star reviews. Nelson do better and focus on the food not fake reviews.
