Bay Journal Film Screening: 'Chesapeake Rhythms'
Thursday, June 26th, 6 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM)
Ocean Pines Community Center - Assateague Room

Join us for a special screening of 'Chesapeake Rhythms', the latest film by renowned Chesapeake Bay storytellers Tom Horton, Sandy Cannon-Brown, and Dave Harp—the award-winning team behind the Bay Journal documentaries. This visually stunning documentary takes viewers on a journey through the extraordinary wildlife migrations of the Chesapeake Bay region, (and includes many areas right here in your backyard) following graceful tundra swans, delicate monarch butterflies, eels, and some dynamic shorebirds.

This film also accompanies the brand-new season of the Chesapeake Uncharted podcast (released May 21), giving you a deeper dive into the stories behind the lens.

Fun fact: Horton, Harp, & Cannon-Brown have been capturing the soul of the Bay for decades—from columns and books to unforgettable photo stories. One of their most memorable moments? A dawn photo shoot with a bush full of waking monarchs, mid-migration. Magic.

Stay after the screening for a discussion and Q&A with the filmmakers and a chance to learn more about how storytelling, science, and advocacy come together to protect the Bay we love.
