Spring is just around the corner and as the weather teases us with warm days here and there, on Maryland’s Coast we’re gearing up for local small-town events. Whether you’re in town visiting or living locally and looking for weekend activities, add these to your calendar for some small-town fun!
2023 Delmarva Heritage Festival
The 5th annual Delmarva Heritage Festival is taking place at the Delmarva Discovery Museum on March 25th and March 26th, in downtown Pocomoke City. The festival showcases the rich Eastern Shore tradition of duck decoy carving and hunting. Celebrate duck carving across generations with blue ribbon carvers and skillful demonstrations.
The events are fun for the whole family with free admission, oyster sandwiches, a youth duck calling competition, and tailgaters. We’ll see you there with the waterfowl!
Movies at the Mar-Va Theater
Sometimes when the weather is gloomy and you’re looking for a fun family activity, going to the movies is the perfect option! At Mar-Va Theater you can get the best old-fashioned movie experience with tickets at only $5 per person. Go see the hottest new movies including Avatar: The Way of Water on March 24th and 25th or 80 for Brady on April 7th and 8th.
Designer Purse Bingo
Come out and support the Great Pocomoke Fairgrounds by participating in Designer Purse Bingo on March 31st! Admission is $30 and you get the chance to win a variety of designer purses. The games start at 7 PM and table reservations can be made for 6 or more players. Enjoy food, raffles including a 50/50 raffle, and other special games!
Downtown Pocomoke Spring Festival
Spring is on its way and Downtown Pocomoke is celebrating with its annual Spring Festival on April 1st! Bring the whole family for live entertainment, delicious food, sidewalk vendors, and more. Plus, check out the Eastern Shore Cruise-In Car Show or participate with a classic car of your own. The kids are sure to have a blast with the petting zoo, bounce house, collecting goodies in the Easter Egg Loop, AND visiting the Easter Bunny! The Easter Bunny himself will be hopping around from 12 PM to 2 PM in the gazebo on Market and 2nd Street. We’re egg-cited to see you there!
