There is so much to love about Ocean City in the fall. Sunrises and sunsets are more vibrant as the humidity decreases (not to mention being able to sleep in a bit with the sun rising after 7am). Walks along the shoreline are quiet and tranquil. Then there are great events to attend! Here’s what’s coming up.
Wine on the Beach
September 29 & 30
There is nothing better than sampling Maryland wines with the ocean as your backdrop. Add in live music, delicious food, unique vendors and the famous Ocean City Boardwalk and you have a weekend to remember.
Endless Summer Cruisin’
October 5 - 8
This October weekend is a must-visit for car enthusiasts. Whether you’re displaying your hot rod at the show or simply watching the classics go by during the boardwalk parade, you’re sure to have a good time. This year there is also the opportunity to meet a few celebrities, including Ernie Hudson of Ghostbusters and Rick Dale of Pawn Stars.
Family Bonfire on the Beach
October 6
Fires are usually prohibited on the beaches of Ocean City. This event, occurring only once per year, is the exception. On October 6th, the community will gather for s’mores, storytelling and live music.
Corvette Weekend
October 13 & 14
Corvettes will be overtaking the streets of Ocean City October 13th and 14th. This is the largest Corvette Club sponsored event on the East Coast, featuring corvettes from Canada to Florida.
OC Beach Ultimate Frisbee Tournament
October 14 & 15
Ultimate Frisbee players gather on the sand to compete. This is also a fun event for spectators to watch on the sand with their favorite boardwalk treat!
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K
October 21
The Ocean City Boardwalk will be covered in pink on October 21 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K. Choose to compete in the run or participate in the noncompetitive walk. This event raises money to defeat breast cancer and provide support for survivors.
Rocktoberfest
October 21 & 22
Anglers have 24 hours to fish for the heaviest rockfish, flounder, trout, and tautog. After the tournament there will be a celebration at Fish Tales.
Autumn Home & Condo Show
October 27 - 29
If your home needs some love after a long summer, the Autumn Home & Condo Show is a great opportunity to gather ideas and shop for decorations. Now is the perfect time to start planning a remodel!
