Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition

Carver, collector, or simply someone with an appreciation for the art wildfowl carving? Hosted by the Ward Museum, the Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competition coming to Ocean City MD this month is one you won’t want to miss!

Wildfowl Carvings and Decoys

From decorated works of art to place in your home to functional decoys for hunting excursions, there will be over 1200 various carvings and displays at this international event.

Carvers, collectors, and visitors will come together at the Ocean City Convention Center April 26-28 to see more than 150 different species represented throughout the carvings.

Wildfowl Carving Competition

Along with pride in showcasing their carving work, competitors will have the chance to win up to nearly $60,000 in prize money throughout more than 40 different divisions. Some of these categories include decorative life-size and miniature wildfowl, floating waterfowl, interpretive, sculpture, and many more. Competitors of all levels and ages, from youth to world champions, are welcome!

Purchase your multi-day pass for $10, or seniors & student passes for $8. Children under 12 are free (with an adult), and if you have a group of six or more, enjoy the group rate of $6/person.

Attend seminars, view films presented by the Ocean City Film Fest, shop various vendors, and bid on your favorite pieces of work! There will be a Kid’s Corner for children to create “make-and-take” projects.

Living Legends Award Presentation and Dinner

The Living Legends Award Presentation and Dinner will be Friday, April 26 from 5:30-8pm at The Grand Hotel. Tickets are $65 for members and $75 for non-members.

Saturday, April 27, take part in the World Class At and Carving Benefit Auction at 2pm. The Award Ceremony will begin at 5:30pm.
