If you think the busy, eventful season is over just because Labor Day has come and gone, you are thinking wrong! October is a happening month in Ocean City! From family bonfires to beer festivals to races for a cause, there’s always something going on in town.

Family Bonfire on the Beach (Oct 5)

Grab your beach chairs and the entire family and head to the beach from 6-8 pm! With chairs, blankets and some warm fall clothes, cozy on up by the bonfire on the beach to enjoy hot cocoa, s’mores, live music, storytelling, and more! Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is $3/Youth, $5/Adult, or a flat rate of $15/family of 6 and more.

Restaurant Week (Oct 14 - 18)

It’s that time of year again! Participating restaurants will offer fixed price menus full of creative, mouthwatering dishes. Sometimes, certain restaurants offer bonuses to their fixed menu options such as desserts, wine flights, or signature cocktails.

ACS Breast Cancer Walk (Oct 20)

We all love walking for a cause! On Saturday, Oct. 20, registration for the American Cancer Society Breast Cancer Walk begins at 7:30 am, and the walk begins at 9 am. Come to the Boardwalk at the Inlet to make your strides to fundraise and get involved in this cause! Register early to start fundraising now. Their goal for 2018 is to reach $308,000.

Drive in Disguise and Halloween Parade (Oct 20)

This year’s 8th annual Halloween Boardwalk Parade, part of O.C.Toberfest, will take place from 27th St. to the Inlet. The parade begins at 3pm, and is free for everyone! In order to drive in the parade, you must register to show proof of insurance. Between Caroline St. and Wicomico St. you can “Trunk or Treat.” Be sure to vote for the best-decorated cars!

Halloween Beach Maze (Oct 20-21 & 27-28)

This free two-weekend event at N. Division St. in town is filled with excitement and thrill, perfect for the kids! Wander in and out of the Beach Maze to get a little scare from witches, pirates, scarecrows, zombies and the ghouliest of ghouls. The maze will run from 10 am to 5 pm Saturdays, and 10 am to 3 pm Sundays.

Great Pumpkin Race (Oct 27)

O.C.Toberfest fun continues on the Boardwalk at 1 pm on Saturday, Oct. 27! You can build your own pumpkin race car to compete in this downhill race to the finish line. Prizes will be given out to each division for winning as well as for creativity. Registration and team check-ins for the event begins at 12 pm.

Halloween Spook Out Party (Oct 28)

Northside Park will host the Spook Out Party for kids and adults of all ages. Wear your best costume and explore the park full of carnival games, arts & crafts, hayrides, and snacks from 1-3pm.

Home & Condo Show (Oct 27-28)

Calling all homeowners in the process of remodeling, decorating, or landscaping their homes! There will be exhibitors with merchandise, product demonstrations, and both interior and exterior displays. The show is very inspirational and provides homeowners with ways to enhance both the comfort and functionality of their home.

Seaside 10K & 5K Halloween Bash (Oct 27)

Put your running shoes on! Join racers in this year’s Seaside Run throughout Ocean City. Run along the Boardwalk, then onto Baltimore Ave. all the way to 68th St. and then back on Coastal Highway. This year marks the Seaside 10K’s 23rd run!

Shore Craft Beer Fest (Oct 28)

Come out to Sunset Park for beautiful bay views and delicious local brews! Enjoy live music, unlimited beer tasting from local breweries, and so much more. VIP ticket holders even get a t-shirt and an extra hour with the brewers and their beer. Food will be available for purchase.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Ghost Tours

Head out to Ripley's Believe It Or Not! every Friday and Saturday night from Oct. 5 to Nov 3 for a good scare and to explore the most haunted site found in Ocean City. If you want to get even more creative, try the Overnight Ghost Tour with up to 10 people, exploring with your own equipment!
