Fall is a wonderful time to head out to the golf course as much as you can before winter sets in. In Ocean City, MD, golfing is a popular activity with the many beautiful golf courses nearby. In the fall, golfing on these pristine courses is taken to a new level as the leaves change to vibrant colors and the air gets a nice crisp to it.

Forget the scorching hot and crowded days on the greens! Take advantage of a fall day out on the beautiful courses near Ocean City. Here are some of our Explore OC favorite spots to golf this time of year!

Best Golf Courses Near Ocean City, MD 

Ocean City Golf Club

Ocean City Golf Club has been OCMD’s leading golf course since 1959! The 18 holes feature marsh and bay vistas with views like no other. The club is popular for hosting events in the 250 seat clubhouse and on the course that can hold up to 220 golfers at a time. 

Glen Riddle Golf Club

The GlenRiddle Golf Club is a 36 hole championship course that’s just down the road from Ocean City. The site used to be a historic racetrack before it became a course for golfing pros, a teaching facility, and a pro shop to assist all skill levels. Visit the Man O’War or War Admiral courses located in the GlenRiddle residential development. 

Links at Lighthouse Sound

Links at Lighthouse Sound is open to the public to experience the naturally diverse and unique terrain of the championship-level course. Any time spent on the greens is sure to provide a challenging and memorable experience for golfers of all skill levels. Be careful not to get too distracted by the stunning Ocean City skyline views!

Rum Pointe Seaside Golf Links

These Scottish-style links are ranked Top 5 in the state by Golf Week but the views from each hole are incentive enough to visit Rum Pointe. The eighteen-hole championship quality course is a seaside paradise overlooking Assateague Island and Sinepuxent Bay. The course is equipped to host a championship PGA tour stop but is perfect for golfers of all skill levels that are ready for a challenge.

Bayside Resort Golf Club

Bayside Resort is only 5 miles away from Ocean City and is known for its natural diversity from one hole to the next. With pine forests, wide-open fairways, and the marshland overlooking the Assawoman Bay coastline, the experience is one of a kind and provides great practice for all. 

Eagle’s Landing Golf Course

Eagle’s Landing is a local favorite spot, also named “Best in State” in Maryland by Golf Digest. The course features eighteen holes over 7,000-yards of saltwater marshes and the natural beauty of Sinepuxent Bay. On the green, you’ll be faced with a variety of water holes, large white-sand bunkers, elevated tees, rolling fairways, and more for a versatile golfing experience.

Ocean Pines Golf Club

Enjoy a round of golf on this challenging 18-hole championship course nestled among natural wetlands and scenic woodlands. The championship course was designed by legendary Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The membership club is open for the public to enjoy and available for group outings and tournaments.
