Break out your brushes and paints and come express yourself at ArtX, Ocean City’s premier art festival being held at Northside Park on August 24th from 12-9pm, and the 25th from 9am-3pm.
Celebrating its second year, ArtX is taking over and inspiring creativity and promoting art and culture in a variety of different ways! ArtX encourages you and your little ones to express yourselves with hands-on activities for the entire family. Sign yourself up for a workshop for a small fee, or bring your kids to participate in one of the many free children's activities.
Head over to the local artists section of the event to tie-dye your own t-shirt, transform a 4x4’ square of pavement into your very own work of art, create your own dream catcher, and many more! You can also choose to sign up before the festival to participate in a workshop such as Seaside Mosaic, Pour Painting or Brushes and Bubbly.
Artists that are both local and from around the country will have their pieces on display throughout the park for you to observe and purchase to add to your collection. Don’t worry about storing your new one-of-a-kind pieces, a concierge service will be available to keep your purchases and personal items for same-day pick up.
Needing a break from the hot August sun? The Art League of Ocean City has partnered with ArtX and has scheduled showings of films from their legendary March Film Festival inside. After the movie has ended, stroll through the park and enjoy a selection of food trucks from gourmet vendors, a beer and wine garden, and a variety of music from local bands
Don't miss out on Saturday night because RIPE is headlinging ArtX! RIPE is a pop-funk/party-rock band based out of Boston, who have lived on the music festival circuit for years. The band has earned their bragging rights by performing at venues like Bonaroo and is now coming to Ocean City to share their good vibes and better music with the shore! Take advantage of this opportunity to watch the up-and-coming band for free only at ArtX!
ArtX is not only an opportunity for artists to showcase their talents, but also an opportunity for families and friends to get together and enjoy a fun, creative weekend together! And the best part? Admission to the festival is completely free!
