4th of July Fireworks on Maryland’s Coast

The 4th of July is coming up quickly and summer vacations are in full swing. Independence Day is a great time to be on Maryland’s Coast with exciting festivities and fireworks in all of our awesome local towns.

Celebrations for the 4th of July Near Ocean City, MD

Ocean City, MD

Whether you’re uptown or downtown, Ocean City, MD has fun events throughout the weekend to attend. Celebrate a day early with the July 3rd Sundae in the Park Independence Day Celebration at Northside Park. Starting at 7 PM, there will be live music by Mike Hines & the Look, followed by a firework show at 9 PM.

On July 5th, choose from two events around town. American Idol star from Salisbury, MD, Jay Copeland will take the stage at Northside Park to dance the night away. Although there will not be fireworks at this event, you can count on a fun way to celebrate the holiday. If you're looking for fireworks on the 5th, there will be music downtown at Caroline Street Stage at 8 PM with a new style fireworks show at 9 PM!

Berlin, MD

The Town of Berlin will put on a spectacular display of fireworks from Heron Park, Sunday, July 3nd, beginning at dusk. Make sure to get there early to get the best spots to view the show! Once Heron Park is full, there are plenty of nearby spots to sit and watch the fireworks. Park in the Dunkin’ shopping center on Old Ocean City Blvd or head over to Sonrise Church for a good view too.

Ocean Pines, MD

On Monday, July 4th, Veterans Memorial Park will be transformed into a huge 4th of July celebration by the Ocean Pines Recreation and Parks Department. From 5 PM to 8:30 PM, purchase $10 wristbands for the kids to enjoy unlimited fun like carnival games, slides, bounce houses, and more. 

After the festivities throughout the day, the fireworks will take place north of the South Gate Pond by Cathell Road. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to cozy up with for the half-hour display, and find parking available at the Ocean Pines Library and Taylor Bank. If you’re in need of handicapped parking, it will be limited but available directly south of the Sports Core Pool.

Snow Hill, MD

Snow Hill is combining the fun with their First Friday celebration. On July 1st, join the town for their 2nd Annual First Friday Independence Day! The evening will end with an elaborate set of fireworks but spend time on Green Street and Bank Street beforehand for live music, vendors, kids activities, businesses with extended hours, sales, and more. 

Enjoy the reflections off the Pocomoke River of the bright and colorful fireworks lighting up the sky in Sturgis Park! What a perfect way to end a nice summer day. 

Pocomoke City, MD

If you’re around the week after the 4th of July and looking for more exciting events, the Pocomoke Concerts in the Park start July 7th! At the beautiful Cypress Park, bring the whole family for an outdoor evening listening to The Irie Tree Band play rock and reggae from 7 PM to 8:30 PM. The concerts are always free so pack a picnic and your lawn chairs and jam out on your Thursday night!
