Stay United OC Debut

Stay United OC Debut

Clean, sandy beaches, warm sunshine, flourishing tourism, and great summertime deals attract millions of vacationers to Ocean City each season. Unfortunately, like any area, underneath those breathtaking views and thriving surf shops, restaurants, and beachfront rentals are surrounding areas in need of support.

Join us in soaking up the sun at the beach while simultaneously helping the community! The first ever Stay United OC campaign will raise money for the United Way of the Eastern Shore through competitions among the local hotels to see who can have the highest donation: a fun competition for businesses, and a positive impact on the surrounding areas.

This is a second portion of the United OC campaign to raise awareness and support for the community, following the Dine United OC competition that arose last year and raised over $44,000!

Before we look at exactly who will be doing what, let’s take a look at how the United Way nonprofit organization benefits the community.

  • 100 percent of donations stay local

  • Support 74 programs targeting improved health, financial stability, and education

  • Operating for over 72 years

  • Serves to better Somerset, Dorchester, Wicomico, and Worcester counties

So, for the first year ever, from May 1st - Sept. 30th, check out (well, check-in first!) these participating hotels who will be donating portions of their proceeds from featured rates and packages in order to benefit the local community!

Princess Royale is donating 10% of your first night room rate. On top of that, during July and August the hotel will give you a 5th night free! Who doesn’t want to extend their beach trip a little longer for no extra cost!?

Commander Hotel is donating $2 per 3-night stay when you book a room any time from June - August. Use code “UNSY-Stay United OC” when making reservations online.

Howard Johnson Oceanfront Plaza Hotel at both 12th St. and 24th St. locations is donating $1/night at the ‘Rodney Rate’ stay.

Ocean 1 Condos is donating 5% of proceeds from all reservations.

Francis Scott Key Family Resort is donating 1.5% from ‘Rodney Rate’ stays.

Courtyard Marriott will donate a portion of its proceeds from the hotel’s 24-hour market.
