Jamie and Alexandra Jacobs, owners of T.C. Studios are the first to open a year-round painting workspace in Ocean City, Maryland.
Their vision began in Baltimore, Maryland when they were asked by their church and friends to host paint night fundraisers on behalf of the community which quickly turned into something more. After visiting Ocean City a few times for a Youth for Christ Event, they realized that there was really no place in the area where people could “congregate creatively.” Thus inspiring their beloved OC Painting Experience studio on 15th Street.
The duo keeps a unique and upbeat atmosphere in the gallery by pairing painting with live music performed by a ensemble or DJ. They offer a variety of experiences for their customers ranging all the way from sip and paint sessions to paint your pet courses and even bachelorette painting parties!
One of their most popular features includes a “Pick your Painting” experience in which guests can come in as a group, pick their favorite painting from the gallery wall, and be instructed through recreating it step-by-step. Genius right?!
Their services don’t extend to solely customers either. One of their fondest memories comes from offering the facilities to Little Pink Houses of Hope, a non-profit organization that provides free week long vacations for breast cancer patients and their families. T.C. Studios had the opportunity to lead the survivors through a Painting Experience during their retreat in Ocean City, and then host a lunch for their families in the studio. Alexandra shares, “Everyone had a blast and the joy that everyone shared is reassurance of why we do what we do.”
